Engagement
A measurable interaction with social content, such as a like, comment, share, save, click or another platform-specific action.
Reach, impressions, engagement rate, campaign runway and “boost” are often used as if they mean the same thing. They do not. This glossary gives each term a plain-language definition and keeps FollowLikes-specific language separate from third-party platform metrics.
A measurable interaction with social content, such as a like, comment, share, save, click or another platform-specific action.
A ratio that compares counted interactions with a chosen denominator such as followers, reach or impressions. The denominator should always be stated.
The number of distinct accounts or people a platform reports as having seen content. Reach is not the same thing as impressions.
The total number of times content is displayed or served. One person may generate more than one impression.
Distribution that occurs without paying the social platform to place the content as an advertisement or sponsored placement.
A platform-native paid promotion that buys additional distribution or placement. It is different from a community exchange or referral.
A community model where members complete eligible creator-promotion tasks to earn points, then use those points to fund their own eligible campaigns.
A FollowLikes task completion that passed the site’s own completion checks and was recorded in the Exchange ledger. It does not imply third-party identity verification.
The amount of points reserved for a promotion. A basic estimate is target completions multiplied by the reward offered per completion.
Points reserved for an active FollowLikes campaign so creator-funded rewards cannot be spent twice while the promotion is running.
The base number of points a campaign funds for each verified completion. Account-level bonuses can be funded separately by the platform.
The share of tracked task starts that become verified completions. It can help a creator notice unclear instructions, slow destinations or other campaign friction.
The percentage of measured impressions or views that result in a click. The exact denominator depends on the reporting system being used.
A defined outcome that matters to a campaign, such as a verified task completion, signup or purchase. The desired outcome should be defined before measuring a conversion rate.
Visible signals that other people have interacted with or endorsed something. Social proof can influence perception, but it does not guarantee quality or future performance.
Content created by users or customers rather than by the brand or platform itself. UGC can include posts, reviews, videos, comments and other contributions.
Activities intended to help a creator’s work get discovered, including owned content, community participation, collaborations, paid media and eligible exchange campaigns.
The number of additional base-reward completions that can still be funded by the campaign’s remaining reserved points.
Compare interactions with followers, reach or impressions and keep the denominator visible.
