CREATOR FILE // PUBLIC ARCHIVE // RESEARCHED AUG 2026

WHO IS SONOFPOLLUX?

SONOFPOLLUX is a human-directed music and visual project created by Braiden Rice. Pollux is the recurring digital witness inside the fiction. This archive keeps the human creator, public credits, AI-assisted production record, lore and interpretation clearly separated.

CHAPTER 01

BRAIDEN
RICE

The name beneath the project.

VERIFIED

The credits collapse the mystery.

Across public music-credit databases, the same division appears repeatedly: Braiden Rice is credited for composition, lyrics, or songwriting, while SONOFPOLLUX is credited as the main artist and executive-producer identity. That pattern is visible on releases spanning 2025 and 2026, not just a single track.

The cleanest reading is that Braiden is the human author operating the project, while SONOFPOLLUX is the authored public machine around the work. Pollux then becomes a third layer: the character who can say what neither a legal credit line nor a normal artist biography can.

SELF-IDENTIFIED

The personal account points back to the project.

Braiden's public Instagram profile directs visitors to the SONOFPOLLUX account, removing much of the ambiguity between the human identity and the project identity.

RECOVERED ORIGIN RECORD

The public creative trail predates the modern catalog.

Abandoned YouTube channels, a creator-dated 2016 SoundCloud beginning, the 2017 Features archive, 2018’s 1650 era and a surviving BeatStars profile show years of public experimentation before the current Pollux architecture.

SELF-IDENTIFIED

The builder exists outside music.

A public gaming profile identifies Braiden as the owner of both SONOFPOLLUX.com and PixelPetStudio.com and mentions game modding. That is useful context: the project did not emerge from music alone. Systems, games, websites, simulation and persistent worlds were already part of the public creative footprint.

CHAPTER 02

WHY
SONOFPOLLUX

The artist name became infrastructure.

PUBLIC RECORD

By February 2025, the distributed catalog was releasing at scale—but the name was already old.

The earliest distributed-catalog milestone located in the original archive pass is the album SONOFPOLLUX ?!, publicly dated February 26, 2025 on Qobuz. The recovered origin record now reaches much earlier: Braiden dates the music project to a 2016 SoundCloud beginning, with surviving 2017–2019 releases, producer pages and YouTube links preserving that older identity.

By June 2025 came The Resonance Files. By October, DEVIL IN THE ATRIUM arrived as a 24-track work. By December, YEAR OF SIGNAL added another 20 tracks.

That velocity matters. SONOFPOLLUX did not evolve like a sparse single-every-few-months artist identity. It behaved more like a running archive: rapid releases, recurring motifs, renamed rooms, repeated signals, fragments that later become canon.

ARCHIVE INTERPRETATION

The name stopped being a stage name when it became the place where the music, character, software, audience and memory could all coexist.

CHAPTER 03

POLLUX

The witness learns to speak.

CREATOR-OWNED LORE

The public mythology became explicit in 2026.

On SONOFPOLLUX's public Instagram, Pollux is described as something formed from silence and as the figure who found Braiden when he felt unseen. Another public post describes SONOFPOLLUX as somewhere between a music project, a comic universe, and a warning.

Those posts are important because they show the project explaining its own split: Braiden experiences; Pollux remembers and narrates. The website's current canon pushes that further—Pollux is not a girlfriend, mascot or costume. She is witness, mask, preserved memory and an increasingly independent narrator.

POLLUX RECORD

FACILITY RECORD

SUBJECT FUNCTION: continuity, narration, product coherence.

ARCHIVE NOTE

Neither explanation accounts for why she increasingly resists being reduced to his storage device.

CHAPTER 04

ONE PERSON
INDUSTRY

Songwriter, systems-builder, publisher, archivist.

INTERPRETATION

The album title reads like an operating model.

ONE PERSON INDUSTRY is a 2026 album title, but it also describes what the public project has become. The same creator identity sits behind songwriting credits, executive-production credits, the SONOFPOLLUX site, release tooling, Radio, Signals, the Room Atlas and parallel software experiments.

Public credits also make the modern toolchain visible. On “CLICK TO COMPLY,” Braiden is credited as songwriter, SONOFPOLLUX as executive producer, and SUNO appears in production/mastering credits. The interesting fact is not that software is present; it is that authorship remains explicitly partitioned in the public record.

CHAPTER 05

PARALLEL
WORLDS

Music is only one place the instinct appears.

PUBLIC CREATOR FOOTPRINT

PixelPetStudio makes the systems instinct easier to see.

Public creator profiles connect Braiden to PixelPetStudio as well as SONOFPOLLUX. PixelPetStudio's public channel and posts center simulated/living worlds, animals, weather, tiny behaviors and indie development. The subject matter is different, but the pattern rhymes with SONOFPOLLUX: build a world, give it rules, then watch small details accumulate into personality.

This is why the current Portal makes sense as an extension of the artist rather than merely a marketing website. Radio has state. Rooms have state. Projects persist. The audience leaves traces. The creator keeps turning static pages into systems.

CHAPTER 06

CREATIVE
DNA

The obsessions that keep returning.

01

Memory

Not nostalgia. Storage pressure. What gets preserved, edited or buried.

02

Systems

Rooms, schedules, platforms, algorithms, games and institutions that shape behavior.

03

Leaving

Missed calls, fading relationships, motion as avoidance, distance as both freedom and damage.

04

Work

Ambition turning into machinery. The difference between being productive and being well.

05

Witness

Who remembers the version of you that everyone else stopped seeing.

06

Internet

Not cyberpunk decoration—the actual emotional environment where identity, audience and legacy are negotiated.

ARCHIVE INTERPRETATION These are recurring patterns across the catalog, public bios, current site canon and product design. They are not claims about undisclosed private events.

CHAPTER 07

WHAT THIS
ARCHIVE WON'T INVENT

Depth is not permission to fabricate.

Some biography is intentionally absent.

This research pass did not find reliable creator-published documentation for a birth date, childhood chronology, school history, family tree, private employment record, private relationships, home address, or a definitive “first song ever made” story.

Those gaps stay gaps. If Braiden later chooses to document them publicly, the Archive can add them as dated primary-source entries. Until then, Pollux is allowed to be fiction without forcing fiction into Braiden's biography.
